UNITY, LIBERTY, CHARITY!

Not everything in the Christian life is black and white. Romans 14 reminds us that when it comes to the gray areas, division and judgment only tear the body of Christ apart. Pastor Don walked us through three powerful guideposts for navigating those gray areas together: conviction, consideration, and conscience.

The question is not just what you are free to do, but whether you can do it in faith and in love. "Whatever is not from faith is sin" (Romans 14:23). And when your liberty causes a brother or sister to stumble, love calls you to lay it down.

In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, charity. If we would apply these principles, we would save ourselves so much hurt and keep the enemy from exploiting our differences.
