Evil hates truth. Darkness hates light. Those who gain and keep their control by controlling the narrative, hate when you point out the contradictions in their arguments. We see this playing out even in our own society today. When the truth speaker is labeled the insurrectionist, and the actual troublemakers get a pass. Because, after all, if the truth speaker would just keep his/her mouth shut, none of this would happen.
