SPIRITUAL NARCISSISM

It is time for Paul to finish the race. He knows that when he goes to Jerusalem, it will be time to go home to the Lord. He went in obedience to God and the prophecies. Those around him, much like Peter did to Jesus, wanted to keep him from heading into his death. We don't always understand or agree with God's ultimate will, but we must obey. His ways are not our ways, and our ways are not His ways. His ways are higher than our ways. We can trust a merciful and loving God to bring to pass, His perfect and gracious will. We must not stand in His way because what seems inevitable makes us uncomfortable.
