God Desires Mercy

"I desire Mercy and not Sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." Jesus told us to go and find what that means. We are saved on the basis of mercy alone. Justice is getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you don't deserve, and Mercy is not getting what you do deserve. We know that "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." We deserve hell, but God extends mercy. We ought to do the same.
